Combo Guard Commits to CMU

The Central Michigan University men's basketball program secured a verbal commitment this week from a standout guard who can play on a wing or at the point.

Chippewas Insider has learned that guard Mike Kramer (6-5, 190) of Cincinnati Oak Hills High School verbally committed to Central Michigan Sunday.

Kramer helped lead Oak Hills to a 15-8 overall record this season and a third place finish in the Greater Miami Conference. According to John Stovall of PrepSpotlight.com, Kramer is a "sleeper" who emerged as a solid Division I prospect this summer while playing AAU ball for Cincinnati AAU Red.

Kramer can play the point, but was recruited primarily to play shooting guard for the Chippewas. He had interest from a number of other Mid-American Conference schools, including Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green.

Chippewas Insider will have more on this breaking news later in the week.
