MAC Honors King, Bazuin

MOUNT PLEASANT - Two outstanding Central Michigan University football players from Saturday's 24-21 Mid-American Conference win over Kent State University were honored by the MAC as West Division "Players of the Week."

Senior linebacker James King was the defensive selection after making 13 tackles, eight of them solo. He also had three tackles for losses of 13 yards and a pass breakup.

Sophomore defensive end Daniel Bazuin was the pick on special teams. He blocked two KSU field goal attempts in the fourth period, the last one with 35 seconds remaining to preserve the 24-21 margin. He also had seven tackles, three of them for losses of 14 yards and one a QB sack for minus six yards.
