Michigan Star Commits to CMU

The Central Michigan University football program has added an eighth Michigan prep player to its 2006 recruiting class.

Chippewas Insider has learned that wide receiver/defensive back Keith Dixson (6-2, 180) of Flint (Mich.) Carman-Ainsworth High School has given a verbal commitment to Central Michigan.

A teammate of University of Michigan commitment Quintin Patilla, Dixson totaled 531 yards receiving (17.3 yards per catch) this season for the 5-4 Cavaliers. Defensively, Dixson garnered 31 tackles and six interceptions from his defensive back position.

Dixson has reportedly scheduled an official visit to CMU for this weekend. He becomes the eighth Michigan prep and 14th player overall in the Chippewas' 2006 recruiting class.
