The South Bend Tribune is reporting today that former University of Notre Dame running back Justin Hoskins will transfer to Central Michigan University, his mother Brenda told the newspaper Tuesday.
The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Hoskins, who prepped at Grand Rapids (Mich.) Creston High School, must sit out this season in compliance with NCAA transfer rules and will have two years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2007 season.
Hoskins spent two years in South Bend, Ind., with the Fighting Irish, playing in a total of 11 games, including a start in the 2004 Insight Bowl.
In those two seasons, the four-star prep recruit carried six times for 15 yards and also returned 14 kicks for 279 yards.
