Michigan Wide Receiver Commits to CMU

The Central Michigan University football program has added one of the top wide receivers in the state of Michigan to its 2007 recruiting class.

Chippewas Insider has learned that Davison (Mich.) High School wide receiver Jeremy Wilson (6-3, 200) made a verbal commitment to Central Michigan University this week.

Wilson had received a scholarship offer from the Chippewas earlier this month amd made an unofficial visit to campus for the Ball State game.

He's led Davison to a 9-0 record and No. 4 ranking in Michigan's Division 2 this season. The Cardinals open the state playoffs this evening by hosting Rochester Adams in a first round matchup.

Wilson also reported an offer from Eastern Michigan and recruiting interest from Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Indiana. He becomes the fifth Michigan prep player and eighth recruit overall in CMU's 2007 recruiting class.
