Chippewas Insider has learned that defensive end Kevin Pickelman of Marshall (Mich.) High School made a verbal commitment to Central Michigan Friday night while visiting campus for the Western Michigan game.
Pickelman is scheduled to take an official visit to CMU the weekend of Dec. 1-3 and had been listing the Chippewas as his favorite school.
Pickelman also reported scholarship offers from Eastern Michigan, WMU, Ball State and Northern Illinois. Pickelman was also being recruited by Michigan State and Purdue of the Big Ten.
He becomes the ninth verbal commitment in CMU's 2007 recruiting class. Chippewas Inisder will have more on this breaking news later.
