Michigan Point Guard Commits to CMU

The Central Michigan University men's basketball program has added a point guard to its 2007 recruiting class.

Chippewas Insider has learned that point guard William Eddie III (6-2, 170) of Detroit Cass Tech High School has made a verbal commitment to Central Michigan.

Eddie, the son of CMU assistant coach William Eddie Jr., originally committed to SMU of Conference USA last year.

Eddie will join shooting guard Jeremy Allen and guard/forward Chase Simon in the Chippewas 2007 recruiting class. Eddie is a teammate of Allen's at Cass Tech and for the Team Detroit AAU program.

The Chippewas are also recruiting sophomore forward Nate Minnoy (6-4, 270) of Schoolcraft Community College. Minnoy played his freshman year at Purdue University before transferring this season to Schoolcraft.
