Eddie, the son of CMU assistant coach William Eddie Jr., originally committed to SMU of Conference USA last year.
Eddie will join shooting guard Jeremy Allen and guard/forward Chase Simon in the Chippewas 2007 recruiting class. Eddie is a teammate of Allen's at Cass Tech and for the Team Detroit AAU program.
The Chippewas are also recruiting sophomore forward Nate Minnoy (6-4, 270) of Schoolcraft Community College. Minnoy played his freshman year at Purdue University before transferring this season to Schoolcraft.
