Allison Commits to CMU

Defensive tackle Josh Allison of Lake Orion (Mich.) High School committed to the University of Minnesota last summer. Things changed for him though after former head coach Glen Mason was let go. Allison is now committed to Central Michigan University.

Chippewas Insider has learned that defensive tackle Josh Allison (6-2, 255) of Lake Orion (Mich.) High School made a verbal commitment to Central Michigan University last night during an in-home visit.

Allison becomes the 13th overall commitment and the tenth Michigan prep player in the Chippewas 2007 recruiting class.

A consensus Class A (big school) All-State selection, Allison committed to Minnesota this past summer, but reconsidered his pledge to the Golden Gophers following the departure of former head coach Glen Mason last month.

Rated among the top defensive tackles in the Midwest, Allison recorded 25 sacks as a junior at Lake Orion. He also considered offers from Miami University and Eastern Michigan before receiving an offer from the Chippewas.
