Standout Longsnapper to Visit CMU

The Central Michigan University football program has a few scholarships remaining to fill in its 2007 recruiting class. The Chippewas could use one of those scholarships for one of the nation's best longsnappers.

Chippewas Insider has learned that longsnapper Jason Bertoni (6-1, 265) of Santa Monica (Calif.) Junior College has been offered a scholarship by Central Michigan University.

Bertoni, who prepped at Venice (Calif.) High School, has reportedly scheduled an official visit to CMU for this weekend, Jan. 26-28.

Bertoni, who is rated among the top longsnappers in the nation, also lists recruiting interest from Fresno State.
