Chippewas Insider has learned that sophomore power forward/center Edwin Ejike Hart (6-8, 240) of Hillsborough (Fla.) Community College has scheduled an official visit to Central Michigan University this weekend (April 13-15).
Hart is rated among the top JUCO big men in the south. A native of Monrovia, Liberia, he helped lead Hillsborough to a 19-12 record this season.
Among the other schools that have reportedly offered Hart a scholarship are Houston and South Florida.
If Hart signs with CMU, he would join a highly-touted foursome of shooting guards Chase Simon (Detroit Community) and Jeremy Allen (Detroit Cass Tech), point guard William Eddie (Cass Tech) and small forward Nate Minnoy(Schoolcraft Community College) in the Chippewas 2007 recruiting class.
