Chippewas Insider has learned that power forward Zach Saylor of Lansing (Mich.) Waverly High School verbally committed to Central Michigan University earlier today.
A 6-foot-8, 225-pounder, Saylor has emerged this summer as one of the top post players in the state of Michigan's 2008 class. He also reportedly considered scholarship offers from Youngstown State, Cleveland State, Eastern Michigan and Miami University.
Saylor becomes the first player in CMU's 2008 recruiting class. The Chippewas still have three scholarships available for next year's class.
