Chippewas Insider has learned that linebacker Joe Kinville (6-3, 215) of Detroit Catholic Central High School has verbally committed to Central Michigan University.
An All-Catholic League selection, Kinville helped lead the Shamrocks to a 10-3 record and a trip to the Michigan Division 1 (big school) state semifinals this season.
Also rated among the top wrestlers in the state in the 215-pound weight class, Kinville will be coming to CMU as a preferred walk-on. He also considered a scholarship offer from Southern Illinois, where he reportedly visited this past weekend.
