MOUNT PLEASANT - The public is invited to attend the Central Michigan University football program's second annual Night of Champions on Thursday, March 13. The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Indoor Athletic Complex.
The Night of Champions serves as the culmination of the Chippewas' winter strength and conditioning program and gives fans an opportunity to see the players compete in events such as a slam dunk contest, tug-of-war and touchdown celebration. T-shirts will be handed out to the first 100 fans through the door, and those in attendance will have an opportunity to interact with the players and coaching staff following the event.
CMU opens spring football practice on Tuesday, March 18. The Chippewas' spring game is set for Saturday, April 19 at 6 p.m. at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
