LeFevour Named MAC West Player of the Week

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan junior quarterback Dan LeFevour of Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Chippewas' 33-30 overtime win at Northern Illinois last Wednesday.

Dan LeFevour completed 19-of-26 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns and ran 29 times for 121 yards and two scores. It was his eighth career 100-yard rushing effort and third 100-yard rushing game in 2008. It also marked the 14th time in his career he passed and rushed for a touchdown in the same game.

LeFevour earns the conference's weekly honor for the second time this season and seventh time in his career.

Central Michigan (8-2 overall, 6-0 MAC) hosts No. 14 Ball State (10-0, 6-0 MAC) Wednesday at 7 p.m. ESPN2 will televise the contest to a national audience.
