Defensive end Caleb Southworth of Piketon (Ohio) High School verbally committed to Central Michigan University last week according to SoutheasternOhioPreps.com.
A three-sport standout for Pike, the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Southworth helped lead the Redstreaks to the state semifinals in basketball last season.
Southworth becomes the 13th known verbal commitment in the Chippewas' 2010 recruiting class. He was also receiving recruiting interest from the University of Cincinnati and Ohio University, among other schools.
