Michigan Point Guard Commits to CMU

The Central Michigan University men's basketball program secured its first verbal commitment this weekend for the 2011 recruiting class from one of the top point guards in Michigan.

Chippewas Insider has learned that point guard Jorddan Myrick of Holland (Mich.) West Ottawa High School has verbally committed to Central Michigan University.

A 5-foot-10, 160-pound junior, Myrick is noted for his great quickness and ball-handling skills. He received his first scholarship offer from the Chippewas this summer and recently took an unofficial visit to the CMU campus.

Myrick becomes the first commitment in the Chippewas' 2011 recruiting class. Chippewas Insider will have more on this late breaking news this week.
