Chippewas Insider has learned that Central Michigan received some great news today in the form of a verbal commitment from 6-foot-8, 230-pound power forward Colin Voss of East Grand Rapids (Mich.) High School.
Voss, who plays AAU ball for the Grand Rapids Storm, is rated the No. 2 power forward in the state of Michigan's 2010 class by Steve Bell of Bankhoops.com.
Voss reportedly chose the Chippewas over offers from Drake, Ball State, Western Michigan, Toledo, Wisconsin-Green Bay and Pacific. He also held offers in football from Illinois State, Western Michigan and Indiana State, among others.
He joins combo guard Derek Jackson of Cleveland Benedictine High School in CMU's 2010 recruiting class.
