Hill Enjoys UC/OU Game

The Bearcats took advantage of their big stage this past Saturday by hosting more than 70 recruits at Paul Brown Stadium, an experience that left an impression on one 2012 running back.

Marlington junior running back Alden Hill was in attendance as Cincinnati took on Oklahoma and came away impressed with the atmosphere.

"It was great man," Hill said. "It was great to be at Paul Brown Stadium, a different atmosphere. It was packed and I liked how the Bearcats played."

Hill, who holds an offer from Ball State, is getting attention from several BCS programs including Ohio State, Notre Dame and Northwestern. However, he says that he hears pretty regularly from the Bearcats.

"They hit me up on facebook and two of their coaches are recruiting me," Hill said. "Coach (Butch) Jones e-mails me and sends me letters and one of their athletic advisors has been messaging me on facebook and sending me letters. So I hear from them quite often."

Hill says he has been on campus one time for a basketball camp, but hopes to be in attendance when UC takes on Miami for the Victory Bell and take in the whole game day experience at Nippert Stadium.

The Marlington running back is off to a fine start to his junior season rushing for just under 1,000 yards, 15 touchdowns and averages more than nine yards per carry in six games this year.

Despite those numbers and an increase in his recruitment, Hill knows that life isn't just about football and is looking at factors outside of football in a school that he will commit to.

"I want to get a good education, I want a good academic school," Hill said. "You know, you could blow out a knee anytime. It would be good to come out with a good scholarship, a good education and get a good job."
