With one of his high school coaches having played at the University of Cincinnati, James Sanford of Xenia (Ohio) High School knows the Bearcats are a viable option in his overall recruitment. Bearcat Insider spoke with Sanford about the latest.

may not get a lot of attention in recruiting circles. Seven college coaching staffs have found him good enough to make scholarship offers. How have things been going for the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Sanford?
"Things are going pretty good right now. I have seven offers at this time as Cincinnati, Michigan State, Ball State, Toledo, Ohio, Bowling Green and West Virginia has offered."
Does Sanford plan to camp with the Bearcats?
"I plan on going down there tomorrow (Wednesday) and visit with them but I'm not planning on working out."
Sanford earned his Bearcats offer back in mid April and has been building a relationship with his key recruiter Mark Elder. What else does Sanford know about the Bearcats program and what are his thoughts about when he'll make a college decision?
"My coach, Cedric Tolbert played there and says a lot of good things about Cincinnati. Right now I'm waiting on things as I've not heard back from Kentucky or Ohio State."
