BCI Top 35: 21-25

BCI breaks downs the most important 35 players for the Bearcats this season. Today's look is at players 21-25.

Malcolm Murray

BCI 2011 Ranking: #25

Position: Safety

Experience: Junior

Why he made the List: The Cincinnati secondary was susceptible to the big plays through the air last season. Murray, a junior college transfer from Mt. SAC (San Antonio College), was one of the top JUCO recruits. He had 77 tackles and 10 picks in this JUCO career. Due to an injury to Wesley Richardson, Murray was thrown into the fire this spring.

Wesley Richardson

BCI 2011 Ranking: #24

Position: Defensive Back

Experience: Redshirt Senior

Why he made the List: Started 10 of 12 games, including the last five at free safety. He missed all of the spring with an injury. His experience in the system will give him an advantage over Murray, but it isn't like the UC secondary was lockdown.

Reuben Johnson

BCI 2011 Ranking: #23

Position: Corner Back

Experience: Redshirt Senior

Why he made the List: Started 11 of 12 games for the Bearcats, finishing the season with 62 tackles – including a career-high 11 against Louisville. Can Johnson become a lockdown corner and literally take away half of the field?

Travis Kelce

BCI 2011 Ranking: #22

Position: Tight End

Experience: Redshirt Junior

Why he made the List: Ben Guidigli was as important in the running game as he was in the passing game, and its Kelce's job to replace him. After sitting out last season due to a violation of team rules, how long it takes Kelce to get back in the swing of things could determine how long it takes the UC running game to get on track.

George Winn

BCI 2011 Ranking: #21

Position: Running Back

Experience: Redshirt Senior

Why he made the List: He brings an experienced back-up for Isaiah Pead. He appeared in 10 of the teams 12 games, lugging the pill 33 times for 145 yards. While it's not a ton of carries, the other two options have considerably less experience.
