Bearcats still in contention for Lewis

Before his Pickerington Central team steps foot on the Nippert Stadium turf on August 27, receiver Roger Lewis wants to make his college decision.

Ironically, his first high school game of the season could be on the same turf he plays his college career as Cincinnati is very much in contention for his services.

"I really like Cincinnati," said Lewis. "They are one of my top schools. I really like the coaching staff, coach (Mark) Elder and Coach Butch Jones. They are both good guys and they have good facilities."

Lewis wanted to be careful in stating that no school is leading the way as he is going to take the next month to evaluate all of the offers. He still hasn't taken an official visit, and is planning unofficial trips to Arizona, West Virginia and Michigan State. Lewis added that the trip to Arizona could be one of his official visits.

He is also sitting back and enjoying the spoils of getting recruited.

"It's a good thing to be recruited," Lewis said. "I like the process, but it's a hard decision at the end."
