BCI catches up with Drew Harris

BearcatInsider caught up with Pennsylvania running back Drew Harris. Where does his interest in Cincinnati rank?

Cincinnati seems to falling out of contention for Exton (Pa.) Downingtown East running back Drew Harris.

The signings of 2011 running back Akise Teague and Jameel Poteat seemed to play a huge role in his decision.

"They just picked up Jameel, so I don't really see a reason (to sign with Cincinnati)," said Harris.

Through two seasons as the featured tailback in Downingtown East's balanced offensive attack, Harris has piled up 3,970 yards and 58 touchdowns on the ground - 2,010 yards and 30 scores as a sophomore and 1,960 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior. In that span, the Cougars have posted a 19-6 record.

Harris also sighted Cincinnati's pass-oriented offense as a reason for dropping the Bearcats down his list.
