Pace Makes His Decision

Alex Pace has been in the process of narrowing down his list of potential colleges, and he made his final decision earlier this week.

When Scout.com last talked to three-star defensive tackle Alex Pace a few weeks ago, he told us that he was starting the process of narrowing down his list of schools.

It didn't long for Pace to finish that process, however, as he committed to the Bearcats earlier this week.

"Yes sir, I committed to Cincinnati," Pace told Bearcat Insider. "I was going to wait until Monday to announce, but somehow it got out early."

Pace's commitment is huge for a Bearcat program that has been searching for a big defensive tackle in the 2012 class.

At 6-3, 260-pounds, Pace says that he knew Cincinnati was where he wanted to play his college ball after taking his official visit this past weekend.

"Just seeing the little things about the program and meeting with the coaches and the players; that is what really keyed my interest. The university was great and the academic side is great. It's off the field that matters to me."

Pace says that he is happy to have his decision out of the way, but says that he is even happier about the fact that he will be playing college football at Cincinnati.

"It feels great man. I'm just really happy because this could be their best recruiting class ever. I know a lot of their recruits, so it feels good to know that I know some people already."
