UC Update: Gairus Coleman

Gairus Coleman is hearing from numerous FBS programs, but is still waiting for his first offer.

Following a solid junior season, Harrison (MI) High School wide receiver Gairus Coleman has begun to hear from a handful of FBS programs in the Midwest, including Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Michigan, and Michigan State.

Coleman, who says he is still waiting for his first offer, says that he took a couple of visits to Michigan State games this year, but that he was not able to make it to any other campuses to take in games.

While he has yet to take a visit to Cincinnati, Coleman says that he has a strong relationship with Bearcat coach Steve Stripling.

"It's a pretty good relationship," Coleman said. "He comes to the school every once in awhile and talks to me and he also emails me every once in awhile. He just tells me to make sure that I stay in contact with them."

Coleman says that his route-running and his hands are his best attributes on the field, while he says that he needs to improve on his speed.

He says that he had about five touchdowns this year in helping lead his team to a 10-1 record.
