Cincinnati, Ohio State check out recruit

Head coach Mick Cronin spent Wednesday in a Cincinnati HS gym.

Cincinnati – Two college coaches were in a Cincinnati gym to watch Cincinnati Withrow junior forward Devin Williams Wednesday evening.

Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin along with Ohio State assistant coach Jeff Boals took in the game in which the Tigers defeated Cincinnati Woodward 62-44.

Williams was saddled with two early fouls that limited him to three minutes in the first half. He finished the game with eight points and 11 rebounds in 19 minutes, but was only 4-of-12 from the free throw line. On the season, the 6-8 junior is averaging 21.5 points and 13 rebounds, while shooting a CMAC-best 71.6 percent.

He currently holds five offers, Illinois, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Xavier.
