After practice on Tuesday, I was able to spend a few minutes talking with Cincinnati senior running back George Winn. Here are some of his thoughts on the program and the upcoming season.

On coming into camp with a starters mentality. "Well I tried to get in a lot better shape coming into camp this season, I knew I was going to have to take a lot more reps. I made sure I had my playbook down pat as well as being a leader to the younger players."

On being comfortable in UC's offensive system. "This is my fifth year in the system now. I'm very comfortable with it."

On underclassmen who have impressed. "Definitely Deionte Buckley, I started off with him in the spring. He's grown leaps and bounds over knowing his plays, his alignments and assignments and how to run the ball."

On game planning for Pitt. "We've definitely been game planning for Pitt, we just started our scout team service drills to see their plays and prepare for their game plan."

On their goals for the season. "Our first goal is a Big East championship. We wanna win every game we compete in. I definitely wanna get that fourth ring."
