Edwards has UC on Top.

2014 defensive back Mike Edwards has Cincinnati at the top of his list after attending their 34-10 opening night win against Pittsburgh.

Last Thursday night was an evening to remember for Cincinnati fans. Taking down a Big East rival (Pittsburgh) in dominating fashion, on national Television, in front of a riled up Nippert Stadium was a great way to kick off the year. It was a great sales pitch to recruits as well. One of those recruits in attendance was 2014 defensive back Mike Edwards from Winton Woods High School. Edwards made the short trip and came away impressed with the environment in Nippert.

"It was way more intense than I expected. It was a great atmosphere and the fans were just hyped.", said Edwards.

Being from Cincinnati has helped Edwards to already feel at home when around the team, a big key in many players recruitments.

"I know Chris Williams and Maalik Bomar really well. It has made me real comfortable", said Edwards.

Edwards couldn't have picked a better game to attend, with the 34-10 opening game beating the Bearcats put on Pittsburgh. It has put UC in a position I'm sure the coaches, and fans alike for that matter, will be more than pleased with. "[Cincinnati is] right on top!," said Edwards," I love UC and they are one of my top choices."

That is music to Butch Jones' ears.
