Pike Enjoys UC Visit

2014 tight end Devin Pike took in UC's 34-10 opening night win over Pittsburgh.

Devin Pike doesn't have to go far to hear about the University of Cincinnati football program. He just has to ask his older Tony, who played quarterback at UC from 2005-2009 and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the 2010 NFL draft. Given that, and his close proximity to the UC campus, Devin made the trek to Clifton for Cincinnati's Thursday night opener against Big East rival Pittsburgh.

"[The game] was a great environment. I've always known how intense it gets from seeing all of my brothers games there.", said Pike.

Helping Cincinnati's cause was the play of senior tight end Travis Kelcc, who was one of Munchie Legaux's favorite targets throughout the game. Focusing on the tight ends was one of Pike's biggest take-aways from the game.

"[The play of the tight ends] was actually one of the big things I was talking to my mom about."

Being a junior in high school, Pike still has plenty of time before his recruitment comes to end. However, he is starting to compile a list, and UC is sitting in good position.

"I've started to compile my list, but it's not in any order yet. UC is in my top 5 though."

UC fans would love nothing more than to see another "Pike" roaming the field in Nippert.
