Coach Interview: OC Mike Bajakian

BearcatInsider.com sat down with UC offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian to get his thoughts on the season.

Coach: Mike Bajakian

Position: Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach

Hometown: Oradell, NJ

High School: Bergen Catholic

College: Williams College

After practice on Wednesday, I was able to talk with Cincinnati offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian on his offense and the upcoming season.

Q: How have you seen the quarterback play develop?

A: "The development really started back on January 3rd when we wrapped up the bowl game and got back on campus and focused on our 2012 season. I say that because it starts from a leadership standpoint and both of those guys [Munchie Legaux and Brendon Kay] have stepped up in a leadership capacity."

Q: How have you seen this team come together during camp?

A: "The seclusion that exists up at higher ground, where you have no choice but to get to know your teammates and hang out with one another and grow as a family. That's the benefit to having an off campus camp, getting away from the distractions."

Q: Have there been any younger guys that you could see contributing this season?

A: "There's been a couple of guys, starting on the outside with a guy like Jeremy Graves, whose been having a great training camp. Deointe Buckley, he has the advantage of having a full spring under his belt. We had 9 or 11 guys who started the season early and that's a huge advantage as far of development goes."
