After practice on Wednesday, I was able to talk with Cincinnati wide receiver Damon Julian on his breakout game against Delaware State and the upcoming season.

Q: What was your first year at UC like?

A: "I felt welcome, a lot of injuries kept me out of stuff like learning the playbook, but as soon as I picked up on things it helped me."

Q: What was your mindset going into this season know it will be your last?

A: "Everyday I play like its my last day. Every snap I play like it's my last snap As long as I know I'm going hard every play, nothing can stop me."

Q: What was your though process after finding out you were starting against Delaware State?

A: "Just clear my mind, get all of the clutter out of there and stay relaxed. I wasn't nervous, our practices are intense and Coach getting on us every day helped to prepare me for the game."

Q: How do you see the rest of your season playing out?

A: "I have long term goals of playing in the NFL but my short term goals are going to get me there. I try not to drop anything, that's my number one goal, anything that comes to me just don't drop the ball. I want to work on the things that I'm uncomfortable with, if I do that then it will get me there."
