Hot Board - Next Coach In

We start building our list of possible coaches Cincinnati could be looking at to fill the opening left with Butch Jones heading to Tennessee.

Current Job: Cornerbacks Coach (Ohio State)
Age: 51
Coombs is known as Mr. Cincinnati and for good reason as he made his coaching mark at the high     school level guiding
his hometown program into a state championship program.

Coombs started his college coaching career at Cincinnati under Brian Kelly and stayed remained when Butch Jones took over the Bearcats.  After last season Coombs was hired by Urban Meyer at Ohio State to coach cornerbacks.

Many feel Coombs would be willing to take over the Bearcats program and stay long term as this would be a “dream job”.

Matt Campbell

Current Job: Head Coach Toledo

Age: 32

Campbell is one of the top young head coaches in college football and made a statement when he beat Cincinnati this season.  Known as an offensive minded coach, Campbell played a huge role in Toledo’s success back in 2010 that helped him take over the program when Tim Beckman left for Illinois

Current Job: Defensive Coordinator Michigan State
Age: 46
Narduzzi spent three seasons at Cincinnati under Mark Dantonio as defensive coordinator and brought a solid defense
to the Bearcats before following Dantonio to Michigan State after not getting the head coaching job at Cincinnati.  Narduzzi has continued to develop into one of the top defensive coordinators in the country as Michigan State is currently ranked fourth in the country in defense.  Many feel Narduzzi would love the chance to come back to Cincinnati as head coach.

We will continue to add new names going forward.
