Wiesman Waiting To Hear

Friday found Cincinnati pledge Dylan Wiesman out of school and wondering what his future would be at the University of Cincinnati with Butch Jones leaving. Bearcat Insider caught up with Wiesman to get his thoughts.

Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain offensive lineman Dylan Wiesman has been a pledge to the University of Cincinnati since early June. However, Friday found the 6-foot-4, 295-pound Colerain Cardinal questioning what just happened without going into panic mode.

"I'm just trying to sit tight and stay calm about everything," said Wiesman. "That is all I can do and I don't need to get too worked up about it as it's out of my control."

Making things even harder was the fact Wiesman was out of school on Friday.

"I didn't have school today (Friday) so as soon as I found out I called my coach (Tom Bolden)," said Wiesman. "I was going to go in to school and lift and afterwards we sat down and talked about everything. The plan for right now is to just see what is going on with the assistant coaches.

"I guess the assistant coaches down at Tennessee don't know if they are staying and the Cincinnati coaches don't know if they are going down there. So we're going to see what happens and then go from there. I don't even know who is in the running for the job so I'm trying to find out."
