"I spoke on the phone with Coach Hinshaw and it was great," said Flick. "I think one of the reasons he wanted to talk was to apologize for the lack of communication with the coaching change. I told him it was fine and that I fully understood they were going through a lot of changes.
"He wanted to talk about my tape and said he really liked it and asked how much I weighted. When I told him I played at 290-pounds this season he seemed a little astonished and surprised with the way I moved with my weight. He said he really liked my tape and felt I could be a successful lineman."
Flick, who has yet to take his official visit, is looking forward to his chance of getting to know more about the new staff.
"I'm looking forward to taking my official but I'm not sure what date I'll be taking it," said Flick. "I'm a Bearcat and have never stopped being one."
Bearcat Insider will continue to track Flick as he gets closer to taking his official visit and learns more about the new Bearcats coaching staff that should be in place following bowl season.
