Bearcats Showing High Interest In Linebacker

We check in with an Ohio linebacker who could be on the verge of picking up his first big offer from the Bearcats.

Under the radar linebacker prospect Andy Struttmann is starting to gain attention and Cincinnati could be the program that changes the 6—foot-2, 235-pound linebacker from Westerville (OH) North's future.

"I've been in contact with Cincinnati for a while," explained Struttmann. "They just sent me an email yesterday saying they are pretty close to an offer and will probably offer me in camp. I'm planning on going down on June 11th for camp.

"Coach (Darin) Hinshaw is my area recruiter and I'm also hearing from Coach (Art) Kaufman."

A three sport performer in high school, Struttmann wrestles and runs the 100 and 200 events in track where he's been timed in the 100 at 11.33. However, an offer from the Bearcats could see him make a quick decision.

"My brother is going to be a sophomore at Cincinnati next year," said Struttmann. "While I'm not very familiar about the football program, I've been to campus several times and it would be awesome to get an offer from them. In fact, I could be tempted to commit with my brother already there.

Bearcat Insider will continue to track the progress of Struttmann before and after his visit for camp in June.
