Florida 2015 DT Talks Bearcats

Friday night found one of Florida's top young prospects camping with the Bearcats and coming away impressed.

Friday night found Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy defensive tackle Deion Eakins camping with the Cincinnati Bearcats.

How did Eakins find his camp visit?

"Cincinnati has a real nice environment and I like the coaches," said Eakins. "They were really detailed in their coaching and they like me really well."

Eakins, who stands 6-foot-3, 315-pounds, has already thought about the distance from home.

"The distance from home doesn't really bother me," said Eakins. "I know I'm only a phone call away. So if I need anything from my parents, they will be there as they are real supportive."

Eakins also has a desire to be in the Midwest part of the country because of family.

"I do have a desire to come to the Midwest," said Eakins. "I have family in the Midwest only about three-hours from Cincinnati. So I can still be family oriented while playing college football and getting my academics."

As for what the Bearcats are telling Eakins at this time, he's expecting to hear more soon.

"I'm talking with Coach (Darren) Hiller and he's telling me he really likes me and that he'll start to talk with me in the near future. So we'll see what happens."
