Three Game Balls For Win VS. Purdue

The top performers on Saturday made a big impression as the Tuberville era begins in Cincinnati.

Offensive Game Ball

Although today was a complete team effort, my offensive game ball goes to running back Hosey Williams. The junior college transfer finished with 15 rushes for 71 yards and a touchdown. This team will run by committee this year but Williams definitely put himself in a bright light for more carries.

Defensive Game Ball

The secondary for UC was a question mark going into this season. However, they made some plays in the secondary and looked solid against a Big Ten opponent. My defensive game ball going to a man in the secondary, Adrian Witty, who had a pick six and sealed the victory for the Bearcats.

Player Of The Game Ball

Week 1 is in the books and the Bearcats are 1-0 after their 42-7 victory. My Player Of the Game will be unique this week because it won't go to an individual. The defense as a whole get this honor because they played outstanding. Purdue only had 226 yards of offense and I look for the Bearcats to continue this dominance in week 2 against Illinois.
