"It was a lot of fun, we have a lot of playmakers in this offense to get them the ball," Kay said. "We can do anything we want, pro style, spread, ice tempo, slow it down to make the defense adapt to us. Definitely think it worked tonight."
Kay hooked up all night with Shaq Washington, 11 receptions for 72 yards, which opened up some opportunity for Anthony McClung. Kay and McClung connected for a 25 yard touchdown pass in the 2nd quarter, McClung with both touchdown catches.
"Receivers across the board, I have a lot of trust in them all," he said.
Kay later in the 2nd quarter use his legs on a 4 yard run. So far this season, since Kay has taken over the starting position, he's 68 for 46, 576 yards, 4 TDs with only 2 interceptions. Kay is showing his senior leadership and is just what the Bearcats need to continue to build on going deeper into conference play.
"Really proud of the receivers, offensive line and everyone across the board," said Kay.
