Franklin Labady is Mr. Big Play

Florida is best known for producing talent and speed. Franklin Labady is a speedster out of Hialeah (Fla.) Champagnat Catholic who is ready to bring his playmaking skills to Bearcat Nation.

Champagnat Catholic stretched their winning streak to seven games defeating Chaminade-Madonna 38-13 last Friday. Franklin Labady, who rushed for 103 yards on 13 carries and 1 touchdown, has become one of the top playmakers out of South Florida who is strongly committed to Cincinnati.

"I get the most feedback from Coach (Tommy) Tuberville," said Labady. "Talking to him I know I have a chance to play and I feel comfortable and love everything about UC. It felt like home to me."

Labady is currently a three-star recruit on and so far this season is showing his big play capabilities with 54 carries for 450 yards, 6 TD and 19 catches for 280 yards with 5 scores. He is big on making the big play when the coaches call his number.

"Coach Tuberville will put the ball in my hands, it's up to me to make big plays," he stressed.

He also spoke about what his playmaking styles will bring to Cincinnati.

"Speed and big play capabilities, I will bring big plays that's me," Labady explained. "I'm small but I bring big plays and UC will love that."
