Cincinnati Bearcats come into tonight's matchup 3-0 after beating Appalachian State on Saturday 77-49. Campbell Camels come in 2-2 after losing 62-43 at home to NC Central. The Bearcats and Camels met last season at Fifth Third Arena on Nov. 20, 2012, UC beat Campbell 91-72.
UC continues a nine game homestead with game six led by seniors Sean Kilpatrick and Titus Rubles. Kilpatrick recently named to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 list and moving to 13th place on the UC all-time scoring list at 1,499 points, he had 12 points against Appalachian State. Four other Bearcats reached double figures in that matchup Rubles had 13 points, Freshman Troy Caupain also added 13 points, Shaquille Thomas and Jermaine Sanders had 10 points.
UC looks to continue to get better on defense in tonight's game. Bearcats are averaging 7.0 blocks as a team this season, they recorded 9 blocks against NC State and 8 blocks against Appalachian State. UC is 42-4 in the last 46 non conference regular season home games.
Campbell are led by first year head coach Kevin McGeehan and are coming off two straight loses, after winning their first two games of the season. In their recent loss to NC Central, junior guard Andrew Ryan led the Camels with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Camels are a very unselfish team, dishing out 64 team assist and shooting 67 percent from the field goal.
