Tuberville Adds First Three to Class of 2014

University of Cincinnati head football coach Tommy Tuberville added three new student-athletes to the 2014 recruiting class.

Wednesday found Cincinnati joining other programs across the country in adding new members to their football rosters for the 2014 season.

Signing with the Bearcats was junior college quarterback Jarred Evans (Queens, N.Y./West Catholic/Santa Barbara CC), cornerback Linden Stephens (Euclid, Ohio/Euclid/Fort Union Military) and high school quarterback Hayden Moore from Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville High School.

Evans comes to Cincinnati as a three-star junior college quarterback with the ability to beat teams with his arm and legs. After looking at several programs last year, Evans stayed at Santa Barbara CC and finished his career going 218-of-413 for 2,701 yards passing and 25 touchdowns while also rushing for nine scores. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Moore caught the eyes of the Bearcats coaching staff during his summer camp visit and soon earned an offer from the Bearcats that he quickly accepted. This past season saw Moore go 89-of-140 for 1,507 yards and 19 touchdowns while also rushing for three more scores.

The Bearcats closed out the day with Ohio native Stephens who spend the past year at Fort Union Military Academy following his prep career at Euclid (Ohio) High School.

All three will enroll in classes at UC in January and take part in winter workouts and spring football.
