Bearcats Prunty AAC Recruiter of the Year

Scout.com national recruiting analysts have voted and named the top recruiting coaches for the Class of 2014. It should be no surprise the top coach in the American Athletic Conference is Cincinnati co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Robert Prunty.

When Cincinnati named Tommy Tuberville their head coach in December of 2012, another big hire came to the Bearcats in assistant coach Robert Prunty.

Prunty, who twice won Big 12 Recruiter of the Year honors from Scout.com continued his magic with the Bearcats helping Tuberville sign 12 members of the Bearcats new class.

Here is the release made by Scout.com on Thursday afternoon.

American Athletic: Robert Prunty, Cincinnati
Recruiting is a grind, but no one works harder on the recruiting trail than UC assistant Robert Prunty. He won Big 12 Recruiter of the Year twice at Texas Tech signing 16 and 14 recruits in one cycle and he has brought that double digit magic with him to Cincinnati. This year he played a huge factor in helping the Bearcats finish with one of the top classes in the conference by helping it ink 12 players, half of the 24-man class. He had a nice signing day splash with U.S. Army All-American linebacker Kevin Mouhon from Norcross (Ga.) High.

Bearcat Insider would like to congratulate Coach Prunty on this honor and wish him continued success.
