Bearcats Offer Four-Star Tranquill

Fort Wayne (Ind.) Carroll HS junior RB-CB Justin Tranquill added a new offer to his list, this one, from the Bearcats. Insider talks with Tranquill about his offer from UC.

Four-Star Carroll HS junior Justin Tranquill added his tenth offer of the process. Cincinnati was added to Tranquill's growing list of offers.

"It is a blessing to receive an offer from UC," Tranquill said. "It's a great feeling to know that a great university like itself thinks you have the potential to play for them, so I'm excited to get over there and see what the program is all about!"

Tranquill 5-foot-11, 195-pound has other offers from Purdue, Toledo, Bowling Green, Indiana, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Northwestern and Eastern Michigan. He has not visited Cincinnati yet but plans to in the near future.

"Last fall they asked me to come up for one of their games, but I wasn't able to make it up there for a visit," explained Tranquill. "I stayed in touch with coaches via Facebook here and there, but the offer was un excepted but extremely exciting none the less."

Tranquill played running back and cornerback in his junior, finish the season rushing for 1,492 yards, 387 receiving yards, 20 total touchdowns and three interceptions. Tranquill left this message for Insider and Bearcat fans.

"UC fans...don't let the white skin fool ya," he said. "My mom loves to say it because so many people have told me I wouldn't make it to the next level at RB or Corner because I'm white."
