Thursday found Cincinnati being very aggressive at Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward High School extending out four scholarship offers. One of those offers went to two-way standout David Dowell.
At 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, David Dowell
has seen teams show interest in his abilities to play defensive back or wide receiver. Thursday, Dowell added an offer from Cincinnati
as Co-defensive coordinator Robert Prunty
threw the Bearcats name into a growing list of schools.
"I spoke with Coach Prutny and he said they offered me," said Dowell. "He said they are excited about me and that he'll soon be up to visit us sometime at our school and that he wants to get us down to campus."
What does Dowell know about the Bearcats?
"I don't know much about them," he said. "But my friend Alex Stump, who also got an offer from them, went down there for a visit and said he really liked it down there. So I'm looking forward to getting down there and learning more about the program."
While unsure if the Bearcats are recruiting him as a receiver or defensive back, Dowell is looking forward to visiting campus soon with his brother Andrew Dowell.
