Cincinnati simply dominated UCF (10-14; 2-11) in tonight's 77-49 victory. Led by senior Sean Kilpatrick scoring 23 points and moving into second on the UC all-time career scoring list. Kilpatrick moved passed UC legend Steve Logan, he's ten points shy of 2,000 for his career.
UC built a early 20 point lead in the first half, thanks to the struggling offense of UCF. The Knights went four minutes without a single basket, only connecting on one of their first 18 field goal attempts. Bearcats would build a bigger lead, at one point 25 point lead. UC scored 17 points off of UCF 10 turnovers in the first half. The Knights finish the game with 16 turnovers.
Justin Jackson would add 10 points and seven rebounds for the Bearcats. UC dominated in the paint, scoring 16 points before halftime. UC took a 40-18 lead into halftime.
The Knights were led by Isaiah Sykes who finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds. UCF suffered their second loss to UC and have lost 10 of their last 11 games.
UC now winners of 17 of their last 18 conference games, will face No. 11 Louisville Saturday at sold out Fifth Third Arena. This will be another barn burner and test for both teams. Tip-off for the game is Noon ET, it's also the "White Out" game.
