Many sophomores in high school are just looking to make it through the year. Not the case for this sophomore wide receiver Brandon Johnson of American Heritage (Plantation, FL), he had 25 catches for 370 yards and six touchdowns. Cincinnati coaches thought enough of the sophomore to extend him a scholarship offer.
"It means a lot to receive an offer from UC, especially because the fact that I am a sophomore they thought enough of me to offer," Johnson said.
"I have always been a fan of their football program, but I am also impressed with their academics," he added. "Academics play a huge role in the schools I like."
Johnson is excited about the early offers and recruiting process so far. "The process has been very good and exciting for me so far, I'm just blessed." Other offers being held by the young sophomore are Louisville, South Carolina and Miami (FL).
Johnson says you can except 100-percent from him every time he steps on the field and big plays when it counts. He wants to continue to improve on his skills and making a name for himself with two years left in his high school career.
"My main areas I feel I need to improve in are strength and speed."
