Gulfport (MS) High School 5-foot-10, 160-pound two-way player Richaud Floyd received his first scholarship offer from Cincinnati just yesterday. Floyd mostly looked at as a possible wide receiver also see's time at the cornerback position.
"I feel that I can help the team on both sides of the ball. Mostly as a wide receiver," he said.
In his junior campaign Floyd racked up 1,006 yards receiving with 80 catches and 10 touchdowns. The class of 2015 prospect has impressed and caught the attention of the Bearcats. Floyd was pleased to get his first offer he has worked so hard to earn.
"It means everything to me, it's my first offer and I'm thankful that they thought much of me," he explained. "I really like that UC had that much trust in me to offer me first. I've watched some of their games and liked the pace of their offense, also how it functioned."
Floyd tells Insider he wants to visit UC's campus, "I don't know when but I'm going to make a trip up there to see the campus." Schools such as Memphis, Southern Miss and Lafayette have invited Floyd to their junior days and are showing interest.
