When it comes to being a multidimensional player, Matt Wilcox has proven during his career to be extremely versatile.
Since his freshman year, Wilcox has spent time on both sides of the ball and on many of the Warriors special teams. This season, Wilcox has been used more as a receiver pulling down 35 balls for 467 yards and six touchdowns. Cincinnati had seen enough to know Wilcox is a natural fit in their offense and extended an offer prior to Saturday’s game against UConn.
“I’ve been to Cincinnati for basketball games and spring practices,” said Wilcox. “But today is my first Bearcats football game. I really like the facilities and the coaching staff a lot.”
Where do the Bearcats plan on playing Wilcox?
“They offered me as an inside slot receiver,” he said.
Bearcat Insider will have more on this new offer in the coming week.
