Tre Larkins is giving out offensive game balls for their performance against the Cougars

BCI is back giving out offensive game balls for the Bearcats latest performance against the Houston Cougars Saturday afternoon. Let's see who the top performers were this week.

Coming into the game against the Houston Cougars, the Cincinnati Bearcats led the American Athletic Conference in total offense averaging 577 yards per game. Last week against Central Florida they gained over 700 yards and picked up right where they left off gaining 589 yards against the Cougars Saturday.

Let’s see who received game balls this week.

Game ball number one: Chris Moore, wide receiver- 6 catches for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns

Moore had his breakout game of the season for the Bearcats. It seemed like whenever Kiel needed a player to make a play it was Moore on Saturday. Majority of the plays Moore made were pretty much just him making a play on the ball over the defender. The senior receiver talked with me earlier in the week about making plays for his football team and he delivered yesterday for the Bearcats in a big way.

Game ball number two: Gunner Kiel, quarterback- 28/51 for 523 yards and 4 touchdowns

Kiel had some ups and downs in this football game. He did have two interceptions and was sacked for a safety in a critical part of the game in the third quarter. But it doesn’t negate the fact he threw for over 500 yards completing 55% of his passes. He showed a lot heart and withstood a couple of big hits from the Cougars defense. He has had much better performances, but 500 yards is 500 yards no matter what the situation is.
