The Bearcats went to Greenville and secured a 65-56 win

UC had to head down to Greenville, North Carolina to face ECU in a trap game. With three games left the Bearcats couldn't afford to lose against the lowly Pirates.

Cronin's boys only played eight players because of injuries to Farad Cobb and Shaq Thomas. That led to Jacob Evans and Kevin Johnson landing starts and Justin Jenifer and Quadri Moore landing more playing time. UC's bench outscored ECU's 4-0, to say the least when you lose two starters the impact had to come somewhere and it happened to the be bench scoring.

UC won 65-56 and moved to third place in the AAC. With SMU being ineligible for the conference tournament UC has an inside chance at being the second seed.
