DeAmonte King speaks on his trip to watch UC’s spring game.
“It was nice, I liked the spring game” King said. “I got to talk to the coaches and they seemed pretty interested and want me to come to a camp in the summer so they can see me up close and personal to make their decision on what they want to do in the future.”
King talks about programs that are showing interest in him.
“I have six offers, Kent State, Ohio, Miami (Oh), Toledo, West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky,” said King. “Ball State, Ohio State and Cincinnati are showing interest.”
King talks about getting interest as an athlete because he plays cornerback and receiver.
“Toledo and Kent State offered me as an athlete, so basically I can chose what I want to do if I go there” Said King. “West Virginia offered me as a DB, Miami (OH) offered primarily as a DB, but they said I could do both, OU said DB also, but said the same as Miami and I don’t know what Eastern Kentucky offered me as because I was shocked I got an offer from them.”
King talks about his next visit.
“I plan on going to the West Virginia spring game on the 23rd of April,” said King.
King talks about what he is working on as a receiver and a defensive back.
“As a receiver I working on getting stronger off the line and at db I’m working on my off man coverage, I’m good at zone and bump & run, but off man takes me out of my comfort zone,” said King. “I’m actually working with UC alum Steve Reynolds who is a db from the Akron area who is helping with me my footwork.”
